"Amid scenes of smoke clouds and ominous threats from climate scientists, life goes on. Our inevitable destruction, while imminent, remains too abstract for us to grasp as a tangible future. As tsunamis and storms destroy coastal cities, the decadent and opulent world of fashion serves as a beautiful counterpoint to our demise. We continue to clothe our bodies in art, wrap ourselves in dangerously luxurious fabrics. We remain ignorant to tales of suffering, both human and earthly. Through this photoshoot, our team tells an alternate story of sustainability and truth, a story of outfits from local vintage and thrift stores set against the stark austerity of the desert." - Nikita Shah, writer
